Pravo u gospodarstvu (PuG, Law in Business) is a leading Croatian scholarly and professional journal in the field of commercial and business law. Its aim is to foster the exchange of ideas and experiences between legal scholars and practitioners, while upholding high standards of scholarly and professional excellence. Rooted firmly in Croatian law, PuG also follows and promotes international legal developments. This commitment is reflected in its consistent publication criteria.
All papers are reviewed through a double-blind peer review process. During the publication process, the editor-in-chief appoints two independent expert reviewers. The identity of the reviewers is not disclosed to the author, nor is the author's identity disclosed to the reviewers.
Papers submitted for publication must meet appropriate scholarly, scientific, and professional standards and must be written in accordance with the Instructions to Authors. Authors are required to adhere to the provisions set out in the Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement. The editor-in-chief may reject papers that do not comply with these requirements.
PuG only publishes original papers that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Upon submission, the author will receive an email confirming receipt of the paper. As a rule, the editor-in-chief will provide the author with a detailed reply, including the reviewers' assessments, within two months. The reply will include one of the following decisions: (1) acceptance of the paper for publication, (2) acceptance subject to revision based on the reviewers’ comments, or (3) rejection of the paper.
PuG has been published continuously since 1962 and currently appears in four issues per year. Papers are published regularly in Croatian and, occasionally, in other European languages. Each paper includes an abstract and keywords, all translated into English.
PuG is available by subscription only. The annual subscription fee is 150 euros + VAT. Titles, abstracts, and keywords for all published papers are publicly available on the journal’s website.
By submitting a paper for publication, the author transfers the copyright to PuG and the Hrvatski savez udruga pravnika u gospodarstvu (Croatian Union of Associations of Lawyers in Business).
By submitting a paper, the author consents to its publication in both the print and electronic editions of PuG, and to the publication of the associated information on the journal’s website. The transfer of rights is unlimited in time and territory and is not subject to any restrictions regarding the size of the print run. The author retains moral rights to the published work.
